Crocheting reduces anxiety/ Look at these hooks I created!

I crochet because it reduces anxiety,  I am one of those people that have frequent anxiety attacks. By crocheting it keeps my mind focused on something else. I do encourage this hobby for anyone that may have similar challenges.  Also, you get a great end product.

Polymer Clay crochet hooks. I have mario, minnie mouse, elmo, Harry Potter, ariel from the little mermaid, snow white, and ofcourse rapunzel.
Below are some of my latest projects,  plus I decided to do polymer clay designs on my some of my hooks which turned out super cute.
Custom slippers made up the pattern myself. Super comfy!

Making a Mario Cake

My 9 yr old autistic son wanted to make a mario cake one day when he got home. I love the creation he came up with. You can do almost anything, with figurines.
All I used for the cake was a regular cake mix, and a plain white frosting. He decorated it with using a ziplock bag and cutting the tip off.

It was very tasty!

Rag Quilt

Looking for a way to use up your old flannel material? Make a rag quilt. I made this rag quilt for my baby, I  found many patterns online. But, I found it easiest to research it youtube. Just type how to make a rag quilt. I am pleased how this turned out.

I added his name to personalize it.

Little Girls No-Sew TuTu

I made this darling tutu for my niece, it was really simple and fun to make.
Pink and Black TuTu

You can by tulle by the yard if you want or it comes in the spool by the ribbon.
The Supplies you will need is:
Tulle (of your desired color)
a elastic hairband
scissors
ribbon (optional for bow)

I alternated colors, all you do is not it around the large elastic headband and once done
trim to desired length. If you choose
to buy it by the yard make sure you cut it into 3-4 inch width strips. Have
fun creating your tutu!

Ethans Quiet Book Volume 1

After making the themed quiet books, I was on a roll so I decided I would work on the ultimate quite book. I learned real quick that not all my ideas would fit in one book. So I would have to make Volumes. Some of the pages I thought of myself others, I got from ideas online. I received inspiration from www.imagineourlife.com , and many ideas threw pintrest.

Back Side (sorry They are out of order)
Cover

Car Page ( in the pocket is a little
truck you can drive on the road)

Traffic Light Page ( everything is hand stitched,
the lights come off with velcro)

Buckle Pages Ethan loves this page, I
found the buckles at the DI..

Dino Page, I got the template for this
page at www.imagineourlife.com

Name Page; I found these buttons at walmart,
I love the way that this page turned out

Baseball Mitt Page, and Mailbox page
I found both of these examples online, for the mitt you put your
childs hand in it. With the mailbox you can unbutton
the front and there is mail inside.

Fish bowl page
This one is one of my sons favorites.
You can take the fish out of the bowl and put them back in.

Shapes Page
(each shape is attached with a snap)

Three little pigs page
Each character has there own pocket and the straw and
stick houses are attached with snaps, so when the
wolf blows them away.

I enjoyed making these pages and I will continue to make more. If you have any questions  or comments please
let me know. and Good luck if you are creating your own quiet books.
